亞洲國際教育集團為持續力行積極辦學，為華裔子弟付出一份力量，推展中文、華人教育，為更多莘莘學子取得赴台深造機會的承諾，更注重學生取得學位後的就業出路，提供青年學子更全方位的服務。在此，很高興敬邀 參與「2009南洋教育展」。
由南洋商報舉辦，亞洲國際教育集團聯合主辦的「南洋教育展」是該報年度重點活動項目，於今已然邁入第十二個年頭，每年都吸引逾萬人次，獲得教育部及馬來西亞高等教育部認可，及獲得專業人士和團體配合提供升學輔導，及各學校和華團的支持。今年的教育展將在12月19日和20日在世界太子貿易中心舉行，展出項目包括升學情報工作坊、專人提供面對面個人升學和技職輔導、性向測驗與生涯規劃、申請大學竅門講座、Job Street 談時下熱門行業，及高教教育貸學金專人講解等。
馬來西亞係多元文化及多元語言之國家，畢業生大多希望能赴台就讀，且大部分學生通曉中、英文。馬來西亞有近10萬名潛在赴台深造學生，包括獨中生、國中生、學院生及本地大學生[2007年馬來西亞教育文憑（SPM）考生人數416,717人，其中百分二十為華裔生約83,343人，通曉華文者約62,507人。此外，馬來西亞高等教育文憑（STPM）考生人數為81,142人，其中百分之五十為華裔生約40,571人，通曉華文者約30,428人，獨中統考生約8,000人，潛在赴台升學通曉華文總人數約100,935人。上述人數尚未包含私立學院畢業生，O Level及 A Level學生。還有超過40多所馬來西亞國立、私立大學畢業生，也是潛在赴台就讀研究所的對象。] 馬來西亞政府與台灣政府一直保持良好的經貿關係，而且兩國的學術機制也一直維持密切的合作交流。惟中學畢業，未竟全功，正待深造，方成棟材，舉辦「南洋教育展」正是要為莘莘學子提供最新及正確國內外升學訊息及管道。

总执行长庄宗南指出，2008年南洋教育展获得国内外大专院校的热烈支持，共有63个参展摊位供学生索取升学资料。“今年的参展单位是历年来最多的一次，这足以证明南洋教育展一年比一年成功。而我们也会尽最大的能力，把南洋教育展打造成《南洋商报》另一个家喻户晓的品牌。”他在12月13日出席由《南洋商报》主办的南洋教育展开幕典礼上，致开幕词时这么说。出席嘉宾包括高等教育部副部长何国忠博士、董总署理主席邹寿汉、南洋报业财务总管王世发、《南洋商报》总经理（文化产业）钟启章及副总编辑陈春福等。庄宗南指出，南洋教育展今年正式进入第十一年，教育是立国之本，一个国家的发展程度，与该国人口中受过教育，尤其是高等教育的人口比例息息相关。他说，马来西亚要实现2020年先进国宏愿，培养人才是刻不容缓，而高等教育更是实现此宏愿的重要一环。
